I immigrated from a part of the former Yugoslavia now known as Serbia with family roots that are from the vast parts of todays Bosnia. Most of my life I have been a Texas kid going on weird adventures with my parents. It has always been a privilege growing up in the Dallas Metroplex. The goal in mind was always to keep my parents proud and to work as hard as they always did. My father survived World War 2 then he was an orphan stricken with poverty until his early 30's. He had numerous obstacles in his life, a lot of which have not stopped him from becoming a wonderful human being. He used to own his own electro-engineering company. During his downtime he did what he could to give back by giving money to local orphanages during the time of Yugoslavia.  Meanwhile my mother was the type of person who was a natural born leader. Running power plants and being a rebellious spirit with a vast and beautiful heart. She never let anything get in her way so she always achieved everything she could possibly achieve out there. She was always taking care of her brothers and sisters while being kind and strong willed. Both of my parents have taught me not judge others, to always look at them with equal intention. Coming to the United States was a sacrifice my parents made. They lost everything they had just so that they made sure that I would be guaranteed to have a good life. Both parents raised me to be stoic with a strong will through example and not by force. These are the qualities I revere from them while these qualities I use within me today. I graduated college at the age of 19 and have spent my career working in Texas and Europe. Most of the time in my career I took care of my parents before sadly losing them during the pandemic. They were the core of my work ethic. At times I wished that taking care of them would have lasted a lot longer. Now these days that core is back since I realized that they are always within me in my spirit. What I want to achieve is to have my heart grow as big as my parents were. To live life and enjoy it since it will be long and wonderful. To always create with love and care. To be a good team player while being there for others. To always do a good job and to look forward towards creating something more today with the intent of a greater tomorrow.
